Pacesetter Park
PARK POLICIES
(Please visit www.sylvaniarecreation.org for more details!)
A. Lightning Detection System
This system is set up for park patron's safety. When the siren sounds at a solid continuous level, games or practices need to be suspended and patrons
need to seek shelter. This means under an open-air structure, gazebo, or your vehicle. If the danger clears the area within 15 minutes an all-clear siren
will sound (Hi-Lo tone). At that time a supervisor will evaluate field conditions and games can either begin or will be suspended. If more than 30 minutes
go by and an all-clear siren has not sounded then the games will remain suspended and you must exit the facility.

B. Lightning Light
On top of the maintenance building there is a yellow warning light. This light will be used to let park patrons know when the lightning detection system
has sounded. Please follow the above rules for lightning.

C. Red & Green Flag
At the entrance to the park there is a red or green flag that is just below the American flag on the flagpole. When the GREEN flag is up the park is open.
When the RED flag is up the park is closed. Practices may not take place on the facility when the RED flag is up.

D. Closure sign
A closure sign will also be posted along the entrance to the park notifying park patrons that the park is either open or closed.

E. Weather Line
Sylvania Recreation has set up a weather line in which patron's can call in order to find out if the fields are open or closed. That number is 882.1500 x
506. Messages will be updated on a regular basis when severe weather conditions exist. During weekdays messages will be posted by 3:00pm and on
weekends by 8:00am. On weekends it is important to check back periodically if conditions change. The rain line is set up for Sylvania Recreation run
programs. We will try to include outside user group information, but you must check with your contact for that group.

F. Field Practice
No practice is permitted on the ball diamonds unless a field permit is present or it is scheduled through the recreation office. For soccer, lacrosse, and
flag football practice is permitted on the west property of the park. NO GAME FIELDS can be used for practices. You must have a permit to be allowed on
to any game field area. These are issued through the F & M Department 419-885-1982.

G. Tornado Siren
If the tornado siren sounds, all games and practices MUST be suspended and you must seek shelter or leave the park. NO ONE is allowed to remain out
in the park. Shelter area at the park is limited.
ANY PLAYER, TEAM, and COACH FOUND BREAKING THESE POLICIES WILL BE IN JEOPARDY OF LOSING THE USE OF PARK PRIVLIAGES AS WELL AS
POSSIBLE FINES IMPOSED BY THERE USER GROUPS.
